Privacy Policy
Effective July 30, 2026
1. What we collect
Account data — your email, optional name, and a hashed password (we never store the password itself), or your Google account email if you sign in with Google. Preferences — an optional zip code for distance features, your watchlist, and saved-search alerts. Usage — anonymous page-view analytics tied to a random first-party cookie (tvid, 1 year) so we can count unique visitors; no cross-site tracking, no advertising trackers.
2. Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we store only your Stripe customer/subscription IDs and subscription status. Stripe's handling of your data is covered by its own privacy policy.
3. Email
We send account-related email and the alert emails you explicitly set up (via our email provider, Resend). Delete an alert and it stops. We don't sell or share your email with marketers.
4. Cookies
Only first-party cookies: authentication/session cookies (to keep you signed in) and the tvid visitor-count cookie described above. No third-party ad cookies.
5. Sharing
We don't sell your personal data. It's shared only with the processors that run the service — Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Google (if you use Google sign-in) — and if the law requires it.
6. Retention & deletion
Account data is kept while your account exists. Email [email protected]to request deletion of your account and associated personal data; we'll complete it within 30 days (billing records are retained as required for tax/accounting).
7. Security
Passwords are bcrypt-hashed, transport is HTTPS, and payment data lives only at Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the surface area small.
